[Merry Melony ep.1]

Twisted Classic.

Merry Melony in Wonderland, eh?

I love the whole Wonderland feel to this, and the visuals, superb! I think I can put it all together just from watching this first episode.

*SPOILER*
It seems to me that Merry had, had a fight with her boyfriend. Perhaps while driving off somewhere in a fit of anger she got into a car wreck?

Eliot "Merry, if you can hear me, I need you back."

It sounds as though the phone call is actually her boyfriend sitting over her comatised body, speaking to her. The voice at the end, a warden telling him visiting hours are over?

This short starts with her sitting over a cliff where a road should be, instead there's nothing, but a car that is mounted in the ground, actually all over the place. Obviously a mental manisfestation of the tragedy.

Also, the crow flying away at the start of the short; foreshadowing death and tragedy.

The picture of Merry with REMEMBER written beneath it; what had happened?

The Rabbit "IT's getting late ... late for me ... late for you."

The Rabiit gives us a hint as to her untimely demise.

Is Merry in purgatory and about to wonder her own little Wonderland before realising what's happened?

That was very, very good. That ending, with the clown and all, absolutely brilliant. I loved the psychodelic touch he brought to the animation.

I've just been reading through these reviews and most of these people have actually adepted JJ's style of writing (bad english). I mean this cartoon was hilarious but I think it's a bit creepy when fans go too far.

Once again, I think this little animation is a laugh. The bad animation just ties in with randomness of the toon. So together it works perfectly.

One thing, as soon as I heard the accent I knew it was you. Haha.

Pretty random, but definitely funny. Only thing I can really criticise you for is the poor audio mixing. Work that out on your next animation.

Good effort.

I see you put a lot of effort into this. Was well composed, actually. I just didn't like the intro, I thought it contrasted with the actual toon itself.

This was a great animation. I sat through the whole thing, and actually wished that it went for longer. The only thing that could have been polished was the audio, apart from that, a perfect 10. The funniest thing is that Link really is that whipped. Haha.

Okay, watching this movie I could only think of one thing, David Firth. I see you draw much inspiration from his style. It was pretty well done and you should work on it.
